Nantile lies on the Snowdonia national park, and makes an amazing composition with the mountains jutting up at the back, this was an overcast moody scene so out came the black and white image.

Glyder Fawl / Fach - Castle of the wind

Glyder Fawl / Fach - Castle of the wind

The castle of the wind is like something out of another world, the rocks poking through the ground remind me of my local Dartmoor but the rocks here are jagged, sharp and pointy, it looks almost like needles pushed up through the ground.

Hence to say you can get some epic image of the location. This image is heavy on the HDR which I feel adds to the dramatic look of the castle.

Dolbadarn Castle

Dolbadarn Castle

Dolbadarn Castle on the Snowdonia national park might be a well photographed location and there is reason for it, the backdrop to the castle is stunning, The national park was a safe haven for people exscaping seveal rulers over the years and strongholds were build surround the park in several locations as well as small keeps like this one on the park itself.

The Glyder Fach at Snowdonia

The Glyder Fach at Snowdonia

The Glyder Fach on Snowdonia is only about 50m lower than its highest peak Snowdon, is a lot quiter in terms of tourists, but its is a massive and tiring hike.

But its more than worth it and the rocks poking through the ground remind me of my local Dartmoor but the rocks here are jagged, sharp and pointy, it looks almost like needles pushed up through the ground.

Brecon Beacons in Wales

Brecon Beacons in Wales

The Brecon Beacons national park in Wales is somewhere I would love to spend a few months exploring, I have been lucky enough to have a few brief visits and in summary I love it, It reminds me very much of a more mountainous version of Dartmoor with epic forests and waterfalls. I plan to spend a few more long weekends here

Monmouth bridge in Wales

Monmouth bridge in Wales

Monmouth in Monmouthshire is a great town to visit for its epic architecture and history, King Henry the 5th was born at the now ruined castle, but epic structures like this fortified gate bridge still remain intact to either keep the Welsh or English out whichever way you look at it...

Bigsweir iron bridge on the river Wye

Bigsweir bridge is an epic bridge and is probably one of my favourite as it seems so understated, I only had a few days around this location and made it a must to stop by with hope of a decent sunset.

I was rewarded with an amazing sunset. although for my troubles I fell down a sluice and injured my leg ligaments, still I think it was worth a month off limping. The dangers of Photography hey
